scorefast

A scoreboard for
club sport.

Put a screen behind the court. Scan the code on it with any phone. That phone is now the scoreboard.

No app to install. No account. Nothing to pay. A board you start now deletes itself in three days.

The screen shows the score. The phone changes it.

How it goes

  1. Open a board on a screen behind the court — a smart TV, a laptop, a stick on an old monitor — and press full screen.
  2. Scan the code with a phone. No install, no sign-in.
  3. Score. Big buttons, one thumb, without looking down.
  4. Hand it over. The next person scans the code and takes the board — or scans within a minute and you both keep it.

The code expires

A photograph of the screen stops working within about two minutes. If a match matters, lock the board with one tap, or set a PIN.

It tells you when it does not know

A board that has lost contact says so rather than showing a confident number nobody is updating.

Undo, not confirm

Nothing asks “are you sure” — there is no moment in a rally to read a dialog. Mistakes are simply reversible, even by the next person to hold the phone.

Nothing kept that need not be

No cookies, no analytics, no accounts for scoring. A casual board and everything on it is deleted after three days.

For a club

An account is optional and only worth it if you run a hall: named courts that keep their settings, your colours on every board, all courts on one screen for the canteen, and results you can export.
